Playing Sports To Lose Weight

So after finding out that I can burn a bunch of calories just cleaning as I mentioned in my last post, I began to wonder about other things I can do naturally to burn calories. I mean, we all want to burn fat, which means burning through those pesky calories that we take in when we eat all the yummy food. So I checked the website to see what other things they allow you to calculate the amount of calories burned.

The one that really jumped out at me was playing with children. As a mom, that’s what I do ALL the time! Needless to say I thought it was great that the web site informed me I burned over 190 calories an hour playing with my son. They specify it as “moderate” “walk/run play” level, but still that’s a lot. At the vigorous level, I would burn over 250 calories an hour. I’m thinking that every family should really take up that post thanksgiving diner (or any diner for that matter) football game with the kids in order to burn off diner! How great is it that our technology allows us to calculate things like this. The site has numerous other types of calorie burning non-exercise (as well as traditional exercise) that you can calculate. Very cool.
